In Angra do Heroísmo, against the backdrop of the AR&PA - Iberian Biennial of Cultural Heritage event, ViaTecla and Turismo do Alentejo conducted a showcaseof the innovative "PCI Experiences Catalog" platform, launched in 2021. This tool aims to redefine how the region's Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) is experienced, boosting entrepreneurship and invigorating the local economy.
The "PCI Experiences Catalog" platform marks a significant shift in the touristic promotion of the Alentejo and Ribatejo regions. This potent tool provides promoters with the whole infrastructure required to plan, organize, communicate, and manage touristic experiences centered around the region's Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH).
Crafted with the aim of encouraging promoters to delve into the rich ICH and translate it into authentic experiences, this platform offers a wide array of functionalities. From conceptualizing to the commercialization of an experience, promoters have at their disposal resources assisting them at every step, ensuring each offering stands out as unique, genuine, and valuable for both tourists and local inhabitants.
The goal is crystal clear: invigorate the local economy by fostering entrepreneurship and enhancing the ICH. These experiences not only set Alentejo and Ribatejo apart as touristic destinations but also promote the preservation of the region's culture and traditions.
The public showcase at the AR&PA event in the Azores underscored the system's innovative nature, spotlighting the shared vision of ViaTecla and Turismo do Alentejo. We firmly believe its potential is vast, and the ongoing efforts to publicize it underline both entities' commitment to valuing the region's heritage.
