Our project, T21 COMmunity has just been included in the worldwide shortlist of the World Summit Awards as one of the best digital solutions with social impact.
Under the umbrella of the Erasmus+ programme, this project aims at promoting social inclusion and employability of young European citizens with Down Syndrome through tourism and e-skills.
Viatecla, as part of an international cooperation with Escola Superior de Educação de Santarém, HZZDS and AIPD (associations dedicated to the inclusion of Down Syndrome citizens in Croatia and Italy) is proud to have this project overcome another step towards representing Portugal as local best practice solution in digital content in the Learning & Education category.
Having been selected from over 400 applications from over 110 countries, T21 COMmunity is one of the 4 Portuguese projects to be considered on this list. The next step will be to select the 40 winners - 5 from each of the 8 competition categories - from the 131 now shortlisted projects.
The Grand Juri will be meeting in the coming days to elect the winning projects that will be invited to attend the WSA Global Congress in Vienna, Austria on March 9-11, 2020.
We are honoured to be at this stage and look forward to being in the finals!
