Innovation Projects - VideoForTravel and TV.COMmunity

The innovation process practiced by Viatecla has been one of its success factors. This process is present and deployed in different fields of its structure: (i) in product´s teams level and technology innovation applied to each Viatecla´s product (i.e. KeyForTravel, Scriptor Server, Bridge4Media, Nicereader and FutureboxTv), (ii) in R & D core - Labs Viatecla - responsible for the creation of new concepts and products in a business / commercial trend, (iii) the Centre of Excellence. NET, core R & D implanted at the University of Évora, which seeks to transfer technology from academia and (iv) R & D projects by coparticipated by QREN program developed with universities, research centers and public institutes.

Regarding the last point we highlight the conclusion of VideoForTravel project.  Viatecla is currently making its incorporation into the product KeyForTravel. This project involved the participation of ISCTE intended to test the incorporation of video content as constituent management platforms in the tourism business on three dimensions: (i) promotion and dissemination of tourism to final consumer, (ii) support the purchase process via teleconference and (iii) providing content e-learning/formation for students and professionals in the tourism sector.

Also TV.COMmunity project (held in conjunction with the University of Évora and ADRAL - Agency for Regional Development of the Alentejo), subsidized by QREN, had strong developments in recent months highlighting the discussion forum / workshop held at the University Évora - College of the Holy Spirit on July 19, 2012. It is intended that the project implementation capabilities of next generation networks in enhancing the video format and the creation / evolution of rich interfaces for querying and navigation data. Through this project Viatecla intends to strengthen the product segment related video which already has two platforms Futurebox.Tv and Bridge4Media.
